Week 2 of the 2024 season is set for Sunday, April 28 with a Regular Race

Mertztown, PA – After an action-filled Opening Day, we are back Sunday, April 28, with a Regular Race on the Asphalt Oval and Road Course featuring all weekly classes of JuiceBox’s, Karts, Champs, and Microstocks on the docket! Join us this Sunday for a BEAUTIFUL DAY OF FAMILY FUN RACING in the Lehigh Valley! Gates open at 10am, Practice at 12:15pm, and Racing at 1:30pm! See you all at Oreville!

RULES UPDATE (effective 4/21/24):

  • YAMAHA SUPERCAN CLASS WEIGHT HAS BEEN DROPPED TO 330LBS. This was changed due to safety reasons of excessive weight on the karts.
  • Jr. Sportsman Oval Class will be aligned with Sportsman 206 Road Course Class Rules. The original rules of the Jr. Sportsman class will be converted to class number OV16: Snydersville Jr. Sportsman division

Mertztown, PA – Sunday, April 21, will kick off the 2024 season at the Fast and Fun 1/6th mile Oval and 1/4 mile road course. We will kick the 2024 season off with a $ 250-to-win Sr. 206 Heavy Road Course Money Race, plus a Regular Race of all oval and road course classes. On top of that, the Microstocks could run for $100 to win if they get 10 cars registered in the class. Come on out and join us this Sunday for some exciting fun in the Lehigh Valley! Gates open at 10am, Drivers Meeting at 11:50am, Practice at 12pm, and Racing at 1:30pm. See you all Sunday!

Track Cleanup and Practice Day set for Sunday, April 14

The 2024 racing season starts to take form with Track Clean-Up and Practice Day on Sunday, April 14! Gates will open at 10am, with Cleanup starting immediately. We ask that you please bring gloves, rakes, and shovels to help with the Cleanup.

After the Cleanup is complete, we will begin to practice (no earlier than 12pm) and go until 6pm. Come on out and shakedown the kart, champ, or microstock! It will be $16 for a pit pass regardless of a driver or non-driver. See you all on Sunday.

Mertztown, PA – Track Cleanup and Practice will be canceled on Sunday, April 7, due to the pits being too soft and muddy to put any car/truck/trailer in. This is going to affect the schedule as follows:

  • Track Cleanup and Practice will be rescheduled to Sunday, April 14, with the same schedule.
  • The New/Beginner Driver Training will be rescheduled to Saturday, April 20. The schedule will be as follows: Gates open at 9 a.m., and Driver training starts at 10 a.m.

2024 Oreville Schedule Released! New and familiar events will compose the 25-event schedule.

The 2024 Oreville Kart Club Schedule is officially released, and this season packs 25 events consisting of a practice day, a new driver training day, 22-point paying events, and a variety of money races and memorial race events. The 1/4 mile Asphalt Road Course and 1/6th mile Asphalt Oval will see JuiceBox division, All Jr. & Sr. Flat Karts, All Jr. & Sr. Champs, and Jr. & Sr. Microstocks be on the weekly docket for 2024. Additionally, some special races that are not on the schedule that Oreville staff is working on could be added. Let’s take a brief look at the 2024 season schedule and what it has in store:

On Sunday, April 7, we will begin the year with Practice and Cleanup. Opening Day will be set for Sunday, April 14, kicking off the 2024 Championship Points. Numerous money races and a memorial race are spread throughout the year, and this season, we will see some new events. The first returning event is the Doug Gaumer Memorial, presented & put together by Heiser Racing and the Gaumer family for Microstocks, which boasted 23 cars in the Inaugural Race. The Sr. Flathead Oval and Sr. Animal Champ classes will have a doubleheader money race on July 21, competing for $ 500 to win each! New this year will be a $500 to win Sr. 206 Medium Road Course Money Race on Sunday, June 2, making it the first large-paying event on the road course! In addition to the numerous money races and memorial events, we have Pocono Raceway Day on May 19 with the Pace Car and Giveaways, Checkered Flag Fan Club Day on June 2, and The Club Picnic with Features only on August 4. The features will be 20 Laps for modern road course classes, 15-Lap for Vintage Classes, and 25-Laps for Oval Classes. We will have the East Coast Vintage Kart Nationals on September 13th & 14th as a part of the EVK series. Our final event of the season will be the Monster Mash on October 6, featuring Trick or Treating, a Trailer Decorating Contest, and a Last Chance 2024 Non-Winners Race(s).

With only a few months away from kicking off the 2024 season, it will be a busy season for Oreville, and we can’t wait to be back on the track pounding the pavement.

2024 Oreville Rules Meeting and Membership Signup set for Sunday, January 14 at Emmaus Fire Company No. 1 – starts at 1pm

This Sunday, January 14, is the Annual Rules Meeting / Membership Meeting for the 2024 Oreville Race Season! This meeting is open to all members and non-members to attend, as we will discuss class rules, track rules, and 2024 membership signups. The meeting will be held at Emmaus Fire Company No. 1 Social Hall on 50 S. 6th Street, Emmaus, PA, on the Main Floor (same place where we have the banquet). Doors will open around 12:45pm, and the meeting will start at 1pm. We hope to see you this Sunday at the Rules Meeting!
